Baby Swimming Lessons

Baby Swimming Lessons

Baby swimming classes are designed to teach infants and young children basic water safety and swimming skills in a safe and supportive environment. These classes typically cater to children between the ages of six months and three years, and they are taught by experienced instructors who are trained in working with young children in the water.

The classes typically focus on building water confidence, improving coordination, and developing basic swimming techniques, such as floating and kicking. The classes often incorporate songs, games, and other fun activities to keep the children engaged and make the experience enjoyable.

It is important to note that while baby swimming classes can be a great way to introduce your child to the water, they are not a substitute for proper adult supervision. Parents should always be present and closely monitor their child’s safety when in or near water. Additionally, it is important to choose a reputable swimming school with experienced and qualified instructors to ensure a safe and positive experience for your child.

Swimming allows babies to exercise their muscles, which helps in the development of their motor, coordination and balance. Research shows early swimming also helps baby in growing sense of self-esteem, confidence and independence. It is also helpful in literacy and numeracy development.

Toddler Swimming Lessons

Toddler Swimming Lessons

Toddler learn to swim better in a happy and encouraging environment. They are being taught through games and having fun while swimming.  This is why you should part in Able Aquatic School swimming classes in Singapore. Introducing swimming to your young children young helps them to overcome the fear of water, built up their motor skills and to lead a healthy lifestyle with swimming. More importantly, it can help save lives. We are aware of their needs as well as their attention span therefore, swimming lessons with a shorter duration and smaller class size can improve their focus and develop a willing to learn attitude. Smaller swim class size ensures that equal amount of attention is given to each of them.

Kids pick up things faster when they start their swimming classes young. They are more flexible and can execute certain swim kicks and pull better compared to when they are older and starting to build up muscles. By providing your child with swimming lessons, it can teach them to lead a healthy lifestyle. By teaching them to lead a healthy lifestyle from young, it helps to develop a positive character and to be healthy and fitness conscious in the future.

Essential Skills

Today, swimming is regarded as an essential skill and is included as part of the national curriculum. One of the most popular sports in the country, it may be executed for recreational purposes, as a competitive activity or for more adventurous purposes such as swimming in open waters.

Our kids’ swimming lessons in Singapore are designed according to the Sport Singapore’s SwimSafer syllabus, starting from Stage 1,2 & 3 to Bronze, Silver and Gold! Each stage is designed to help children in developing graceful swimming skills, life-saving and survival. Too easy for your children and not sure where to head on to after passing his or her gold award? We have an award known as the Singapore Swimming Proficiency Award where swimmers will take on the challenge of certain swimming events in a competitive setting doing proper swimming starts, strokes, turn and finishes.

At Able Aquatic School, all swimming classes will follow the SwimSafer programme v2.0 which is governed by the Sport Singapore. Our swimming classes are designed with their strict criteria in mind.

As the student progress and are able to perform certain strokes, they will be sent for a proficiency test. They will attain a SwimSafer certificate each time they pass a test. These SwimSafer certificates are accepted by most MOE schools in Singapore.

It’s important to choose a reputable swimming school with experienced and qualified instructors to ensure a safe and positive experience in adult swimming lessons. Special Needs Swimming Lessons

Special Needs Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons for children with special needs can be a wonderful way to help them develop water safety skills, improve their physical and mental health, and enhance their social skills. Here are some considerations for swimming lessons for special needs children:

Look for a swimming instructor who has experience working with children with special needs. A qualified instructor can assess the child’s abilities and create a personalized program to help them learn and enjoy swimming.

Make sure the swimming pool is accessible and safe for children with special needs. The environment should be quiet, well-lit, and free from distractions. Adjust the water temperature, if necessary, to ensure that the child is comfortable.

Children with special needs may benefit from visual aids and sensory materials. For example, colorful toys, pool noodles, and foam floats can help stimulate their senses and make swimming more enjoyable.

Children with special needs may require individualized instruction and a slower pace of learning. An experienced instructor can help the child develop their skills at their own pace and provide positive reinforcement to keep them motivated.

Swimming lessons can be a fun and social activity for children with special needs. Incorporate games, group activities, and other social elements to help them build relationships and feel more comfortable in the water.

Swimming lessons for special needs children should always prioritize safety, comfort, and individualized instruction. With the right instructor and supportive environment, children with special needs can learn to swim, improve their skills, and gain confidence in the water.
