Philosophy & Mission

Simple

To make things simple for learners, SwimSafer have organized the program into 6 levels: Stage 1, 2, 3, Bronze, Silver & Gold. This allows a learning progression of swimming skills, whereby each level builds upon the survival and rescue skills learned in the previous level. Upon successful completion of the entire program, a child would be able to sustain longer in different conditions with the survival and rescue skills imparted to them.

Goal Motivated

Our goal is to teach young children to swim in a positive, safe and loving environment. We recognize that each child is an individual with different emotional and developmental abilities, hence we cater each lesson to those needs. In addition to teaching our learners the skills of swimming, we also strive to develop each child’s self-esteem, confidence, mobility, motor skills, health, speech, social skills, managing their stress level, fitness, and love for the water.

Technique Based

The proper techniques of swimming (breathing, body position, movement of the arms and legs timing) should be taught from the beginning. These techniques are incorporated into each level from the start to the end of the program.

Rest assured that our swimming coaches have been carefully trained, and are certified by National Registry of Coaches (NROC), as well as SwimSafer, Singapore. They attend continuing education classes in order to stay abreast of the most progressive teaching techniques. All swimming coaches are also trained in CPR and First Aid.

Every single newborn baby have this diving response known as the “Bradycardic Response”. The response diminishes with increasing age and has been reported to disappear by the age of 6 months old. Try blowing into a baby’s face and watch him or her gulp air, close eyes, and stop whatever they’re doing. Therefore the sooner you start your child, they will be able to discovers the freedom of buoyancy and underwater swimming and the more relaxed and independent he or she will become.

Development

Swimming allows babies to exercise their muscles, which helps in development of their motor, coordination and balance. Research shows early swimming also helps baby in growing sense of self-esteem, confidence and independence. It is also helpful in literacy and numeracy development.

Our aquatic program is designed for babies from 4 months to 2 years old. Babies will learn how to enter water safely, hold their breath when they go underwater, turn and propel themselves to the side of the pool and finally get out of the pool safely.

Ages 4 and above

Children and toddler learn to swim better in a happy and encouraging environment. They are being taught through games and having fun while swimming.  This is why you should part in Able Aquatic School swimming classes in Singapore. Introducing swimming to your young children young helps them to overcome the fear of water, built up their motor skills and to lead a healthy lifestyle with swimming. More importantly, it can help save lives. We are aware of their needs as well as their attention span therefore, swimming lessons with a shorter duration and smaller class size can improve their focus and develop a willing to learn attitude. Smaller swim class size ensures that equal amount of attention is given to each of them.

Development

Kids pick up things faster when they start their swimming classes young. They are more flexible and can execute certain swim kicks and pull better compared to when they are older and starting to build up muscles. By providing your child with swimming lessons, it can teach them to lead a healthy lifestyle. What Our Families are Saying

Initially I was rather sceptical about the swimming instructors by Able Aquatics but after my first lesson with their recommended instructor, my daughter looks forward to her swimming class every week. Their instructors are so kind and professional and we appreciate them for helping Chloe master survival skills in the water. Chloe is so comfortable in the water and doesn’t want to leave the pool anymore! Much Appreciated.

After only 5 lessons my son told me he loves swimming which is quite a surprise as he refused to go into the water before…..Thanks, Coach Shawn for taking care of my boy Jaden. Nowadays, he look forward to every swimming lessons and am always pestering me to bring him down for a swim!

Coach Shawn has been a patient and diligent coach in guiding and coaching my active boy through his various swimming stages. Thank you for your hard work and patience. All the best for the New Year~!

To start with, my son was so terribly afraid of water that whenever we go for a swim, he would just stand around in the shallow pool. He refused to put his head under the water or go down the slides unlike his younger brother. It was such a pain seeing him like that. So, when a friend recommended “Able Aquatics” to me, I immediately contacted Mr. Shawn Chua who arranged for me to come for his Wednesday 6.15pm lessons. After only the first lesson, my son was already able to put his head under the water & fondly called his coach ‘Uncle’ Shawn! From there, I knew my son was off to a good start.

Shawn, thank you, I really truly appreciate it.
