How to be a qualified lifeguard?

STEP 1

  • Go for lifesaving1, lifesaving2 and lifesaving3 award. (ls123 in short).
  • A regular class will complete in 5 – 6 lessons.
  • You must be able to swim at least 200m with good treading water skill.

STEP 2

  • After achieving lifesaving 123, you need to go for bronze medallion award & CPR award (BM in short).
  • A regular class will complete in 6 – 7 lessons.
  • You must be able to swim at least 400m with good treading water skill.

Course Requirement

You must be able to swim 200m (4 laps) continuously with at least one recognised swim stroke such as breaststroke or frontcrawl & able to tread water for at least 1 minute.

  • Revision of lifesaving 123 awards

  • Learn lifesaving backstroke

  • Rescue fitness, Swim 50m and tow 50m within 3 mins 15 secs
  • Rescue a uncooperative drowning person 50m away, escape or take defensive action when necessary, provide aftercare

Course Requirement

You must be able to swim 400m (8 laps) continuously with at least one recognized swim stroke such as breaststroke or frontcrawl & able to tread water for at least 3 minute.

Course Fee

$600 per pax per lifeguard course, payable within 2 payments.
